Commitment and Consultation
BEST Community Development is committed to establishing and maintaining, so far as is reasonably practicable, the highest standards of occupational health, safety and welfare for our staff, clients and the broader community that utilise our facilities. To that end, we will provide information, through policy and procedure, and training (as appropriate) on the rights and obligations of both parties under OH&S legislation and the spirit of that legislation. It is your responsibility to ensure that you adhere to safe working practices.
The OH&S Consultative Committee is a representative group of our staff that consists of a nominated management representative and elected representatives.
Health and Wellbeing Incentives
Human resources is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive benefits program which is responsive to the needs of a diverse staff.
Health and Wellbeing Subsidy
Upon successful completion of the probationary period, employees are entitled to a yearly fee subsidy for approved memberships and activities that impact positively on the employee’s health.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to provide external professional, confidential counselling assistance to employees in need of help with particular problems affecting their well being, either personally or in the workplace.
Vaccinations
BEST Community Development provide free of charge yearly influenza vaccinations.
