BEST Community Development operates a variety of customer driven community based programs designed to enhance the lives of people with disabilities and promote social inclusion within our community.
These programs include:
The Young Knights Pathways Program
An innovative Australian Football player development
program is being launched by Sports Central in conjunction with BEST
Community Development, the Ballarat Specialist School and the Selkirk
Roosters.
This program will promote the inclusion and involvement of young players attending the school being encouraged via a clinic program to take up Australian Rules football and for this to become a pathway to the very successful Northern Knights football team, a part of BEST Community Development’s Interclub.

aim of the Northern Knights is to initiate access for people with disabilities to the game of football and
to develop the skills level and confidence of players so that integration may
occur into other competitions.
